Redesigning a website and building a social media team

ABOUT:

Diamond Jamboree Shopping Center is Orange County’s most visited restaurant and entertainment center. From dim sum, revolving sushi bars, cafes, karaoke rooms to escape rooms, Diamond Jamboree attracts thousands of daily visitors and has captured the heart of many loyal customers. The Center’s popularity translates into its highly-sought after leasing spaces. 

 

Its physical brand has no problem attracting customers; however, its online presence is outdated and does not accurately represent its brand popularity. 

 

GOAL: 

  • Refresh website for better navigation and modern aesthetics

  • Track online visitor data to better understand their demographic

  • Establish an active social media presence

 

MY APPROACH:

Website:

  • Created a brand guide including new copy, color pallets, fonts and content 

  • Migrated previous site content to retain SEO relevancy  

  • Implemented mobile friendly features

  • Activated Google Alerts for “Diamond Jamboree” to keep track of PR and content materials 

  •  Implemented Google Analytics and gathered by weekly reports to Shopping Center owner

Social Media: 

  • Reactivated Instagram and Facebook social presence with new photos

  • Collaborated with local food influencers to create weekly content

  • Trained & onboarded a junior social media associate to run all channels

RESULTS:

  • Increased social engagements by 260% on Instagram and 110% on Facebook; increased Facebook followers by 1,400 and Instagram 1,100 followers under on month
